Terms of Use
Last updated 30 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Zaheer Baloch (“we”, “us”), which runs Circlo. By creating an account you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Who can use Circlo
You must be at least 16 years old, and old enough in your country to agree to these terms. You may not use Circlo if we have removed your account before or if the law forbids it.
2. Your account and your keys
- Your account is a handle and a password. Keep your password private; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- At sign-up you get a 24-word recovery phrase. Keep it safe and private. Because your content is end-to-end encrypted and we never have your password or keys, we cannot reset your password or recover your account for you. If you lose both your password and your recovery phrase, your account and content can’t be recovered.
3. Zero tolerance for abuse
Circlo has no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You must not use Circlo to share or send:
- anything that sexualises, exploits or endangers children, of any kind (see our child safety standards);
- harassment, bullying, threats, or content that promotes violence or hatred against people for who they are;
- sexual content involving anyone who has not consented, or intimate images shared without consent;
- content that encourages self-harm or suicide;
- spam, scams, fraud, malware, or attempts to trick people out of money or information;
- content that infringes someone else’s rights, or is otherwise illegal where you or the recipients are.
You must also not impersonate others, create accounts to evade a block or a removal, or interfere with, probe or overload the service.
4. Reporting, blocking and enforcement
You can report any post, person or message from the ⋯ menu, and block anyone. A report sends a copy of what you reported to Circlo’s moderators; the person isn’t told. Because content is end-to-end encrypted, we only see what is reported to us. We review reports promptly, and we may remove content, suspend or remove accounts that break these terms, and report illegal content, such as child sexual abuse material, to the authorities as the law requires.
5. Your content
You own what you post. You give us only the permission we need to store and deliver it, in encrypted form, to the people you choose. You are responsible for what you share and for having the right to share it. Anyone you share with can see it and could copy it, so share only with people you trust.
6. The service
We work to keep Circlo available and secure, but we provide it “as is” and can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change or stop features. If we ever stop running Circlo we will give notice so you can export your data first.
7. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings (see Delete your account). We may suspend or remove your account if you break these terms or if we are required to by law.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for content other people share. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.
9. Law and changes
These terms are governed by the laws of Bahrain. This doesn’t take away any rights you have under the consumer laws of the country where you live. If we change them we’ll update the date at the top and announce important changes on this site before they take effect; if you keep using Circlo after that, you accept the new terms.
