Child safety standards
Last updated 30 October 2026
Circlo has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). These standards apply to everyone who uses Circlo and are part of our Terms of Use.
What is not allowed
- Any content that sexualises, exploits or endangers children, including images, videos, drawings or text.
- Grooming, sextortion, or any attempt to contact, groom or exploit a child.
- Sharing, requesting or linking to child sexual abuse material, or any content involving the trafficking of children.
- Accounts for people under 16. Circlo is not for children.
How to report
- In the app: open the ⋯ menu on a post, a person’s profile or a message, choose Report and pick Puts a child at risk. You can also block the person straight away.
- By email: safety@hellocirclo.com, our child safety contact.
- If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police first. In the US you can also report to the NCMEC CyberTipline (report.cybertip.org); in the UK, to the IWF (report.iwf.org.uk).
What we do
Circlo is end-to-end encrypted, so we can’t see what people share unless it is reported to us. A report contains a copy of what was reported, readable only by our moderators. When we receive a report about child safety we:
- review it as a priority;
- remove the account and prevent it from returning where we can;
- report child sexual abuse material and exploitation to the relevant authorities as the law requires, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) where applicable, and cooperate with law enforcement.
Compliance
We comply with child safety laws in the places Circlo is offered, and we keep these standards up to date. Our child safety contact can be reached at safety@hellocirclo.com and can speak to our practices for preventing CSAE.
